Both the Philadelphia Zoo and Camden's Adventure Aquarium are favorite spots for all ages to view wildlife and sea creatures up close. This season those visiting the popular locations will have the added bonus of special holiday fun on their visit. Each offers a unique way to meet Santa and engage in other holiday fun.
The Philadelphia Zoo is hosting a Santa scavenger hunt. Search for Santa's in the rainforest, in the Outback, in the Arctic, on safari and on the farm. Then at 11 a.m., 12:30 p.m. or 2 p.m. head to the Treehouse to snap a picture with the real-deal.
Also, bring holiday cards for the animals and Santa’s helpers will hand-deliver them that day. Craft activities, hot chocolate, and a holiday gift shop will also be available.

Through December, the Aquarium has holiday-themed shows, a scuba diving Santa and appearances by both Bumble the Abominable Snow Monster and Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer.
Santa will scuba dive in the Aquarium’s 760,000-gallon Ocean Realm and swim alongside a great hammerhead shark, sea turtles and stingrays. He can be spotted Monday through Friday at noon and 2 p.m. and then on Saturday and Sunday at 11:15 a.m. and 2:15 p.m. Once it turns Dec. 26 he will dive daily at the weekend times.
Bumble also puts on a special holiday show, with a tree lighting and snow inside the Aquarium. Dates and times vary for the event. For those who want pictures with the monster, he and Rudolph will have meet-and-greets daily.
Children can also leave letters for Santa in a special mailbox until Monday, Dec. 21.
