According to the Philadelphia Business Journal, Yards is under agreement to lease 85,000 square feet of space that will be used to reinforce production at its current facility along the Delaware River.
The 220,000-square-foot property at 5th and Spring Garden was purchased by Bryn Mawr's Alliance Partners HSP in 2014 with plans to convert it into an office space. Destination Maternity relocated to Moorestown, New Jersey.
Yards, founded in 1994, is in the midst of a major marketing campaign led by the charitable Brew Unto Others initiative and the #BackyardSummerPhoto contest on Twitter.
The company hopes to open the new facility in late 2017. Alliance Partners HSP continues to seek additional tenants to fill the building's remaining space.
