David Yadgaroff will succeed Marc Rayfield as senior vice president and market manager of CBSPhilly, overseeing a roster of stations that include KYW 1060-AM (news), 94WIP-FM (sports), WPHT 1210-AM (talk), 98 WOGL-FM (classic hits) and 92.5 WXTU-FM (country).
The appointment is effective Aug. 3.
Rayfield, who had managed the Philadelphia market for 25 years, was promoted recently to head the company's New York City market.
Yadgaroff, a 1990 graduate of Penn State University, has been with the company for two decades, serving as general sales manager, vice president/general manager and local sales manager of KYW Newsradio, and vice president/general manager of WPHT, WOGL and WYSP.
"I am thrilled to announce David as our new Senior VP/Market Manager in Philadelphia. David has been a longtime CBS Radio employee and one of our most consistent performers. His most recent stint as GSM of KYW-AM has provided the station with some of its most successful revenue generating performances," said CBS Radio COO Scott Herman in a statement, according to Radio Online.
"CBS Radio Philadelphia has a collection of the strongest brands of any radio market in America," added Yadgaroff. "After more than 20 years with the company, I am honored and humbled to have the opportunity to lead our talented team of broadcast professionals. I've always been passionate about radio and all it has to offer our listeners and advertising partners. As we have evolved into multi-platform content providers, I am excited for what the future holds for our industry."
Rayfield will succeed Scott Herman, who was recently appointed chief operating officer by new CBS Radio President Andre Fernandez.
On a recent visit to Philadelphia, Fernandez spent time with Rayfield and addressed staff, Radio Online reported.
