A woman was run over by a tow truck early Sunday morning following an argument outside a Wissahickon pub, Philly.com reports.
The woman and a man were outside T. Hogan's Pub on Rochelle Avenue, across from SEPTA's Wissahickon train station, around 1 a.m. when the incident began.
The tow-truck operator told police that his ex-girlfriend began arguing with him.
He then got into his truck and started to drive away, police said. The 29-year-old woman grabbed on to the driver's-side light bar of the tow truck, lost her grip and fell underneath the rear wheels of the driver side, police said.
The woman was taken to Temple University Hospital, where she was pronounced dead shortly after 3 a.m., according to police.
The incident is under investigation. Police did not identify either person involved.
