The "superheroes" of Jenkintown Building Services had paid a visit to patients, descending from the south tower bridge at the University City hospital Tuesday. An image on CHOP's Facebook page of one patient flexing as the rangers peered in has been shared more than 2,500 times.
A spokesperson for Jenkintown Building Service said that their employees dress up about once a year right around Earth Day to visit the patients. The window washers have transformed into Spiderman and Captain America as well as the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and characters from Sesame Street in past years.
"It takes the kids out of the moment and takes them to a higher moment," Marty Tuzman, owner of Jenkintown Building Services told USA Today in a recent interview. "We love doing it."
