It's that time of year again. Around 30,000 runners will take to the streets on Sunday, Nov. 20, to race in the 2016 Philadelphia Marathon. The marathon is a historic race that passes some of Philly's most iconic landmarks.
To support the runners, there are more than 20 designated "cheer zones" along the 26.2-mile course.
Below is a roundup of landmarks and restaurants that have been turned into spots to cheer. The times listed are estimates for when runners will be by each location:
Art Museum at 22nd Street and Benjamin Franklin Parkway (5 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.)
Friendship Gate in Chinatown at 10th and Arch streets (7-7:55 a.m.)
Bridget Foy's at Second and South streets (7:05-8:30 a.m.)
Independence Hall at Sixth and Walnut streets (7:05-8:40 a.m.)
Caffeination at 21st and Chestnut streets (7:10-9 a.m.)
Philadelphia Zoo at 34th Street and Girard Avenue (7:15-9:30 a.m.)
Please Touch Museum at West Memorial Drive and Avenue of the Republic (7:15-9:45 a.m.)
Lululemon Cheer Station at Kelly Drive and Ferry Street (7:35 a.m. to 1:15 p.m.)
Laurel Hill Cemetery at Hunting Park and Kelly Drive (7:35 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.)
Winnie's LeBus at Main and Cotton streets (7:40 a.m. to 12:40 p.m.)
