A few weeks ago we finished up our six-part series on what NFL players each of the Eagles' rookie draft picks reminded us of. Today, we asked each of the Eagles' rookies if there were any players they tried to pattern their games after when they were high school and college players.
WR Nelson Agholor: "I was a big fan of some of the receivers at the University of Miami. Reggie Wayne, Andre Johnson, Santana Moss, all those guys."
CB Eric Rowe: "When I was at safety, I tried to be like Bob Sanders growing up. I loved the way he hit. When I moved to corner, I watched Revis, I actually watched Maxwell. I watched Sherman and how (he executed) zone drops."
ILB Jordan Hicks: "I could sit in my room and watch Ray Lewis video all day. Highlight tapes, motivational speeches. I've always tried to be a leader, both on the field and off the field. I've always had high expectations for myself, and growing up he was somebody who's play spoke for itself, his leadership spoke for itself."
CB JaCorey Shepherd: "I played offense growing up, so my favorite player was LaDainian Tomlinson. Once I moved positions I started watching some of the top corners in the league, like Patrick Peterson, Richard Sherman, Revis, people like that."
CB Randall Evans: "I liked Deion Sanders for the most part. He's one of the greatest corners of all time at corner. Coming up (through college) I liked Darrelle Revis, a savvy guy who's not fast but he's smart and he knows how to work his mechanics."
DE Brian Mihalik: "I'm still kind of working on finding guys (with a similar height-weight dimensions). I talked to Coach Azzinaro. He said to watch Taylor Hart. He's got some dimensions like me. And then I'm going to start getting into film, watching taller guys around the league, like Calais Campbell is a guy I've been told to watch."
