A dispute between neighbors in West Philadelphia on Wednesday evening allegedly resulted in several rounds of gunfire, including a person being struck in the back, NBC10 reports.
Lt. John Walker of Philadelphia police told NBC10 that a man – who doesn’t seem to have been directly involved in the initial dispute but was possibly a friend of one of the arguing parties who then became involved – shot several rounds into a home on South 45th Street near Market Street that struck a 21-year-old man once in the back.
At one point, Walker said the man also held the gun to a woman's face and pulled the trigger, but it failed to go off. He unjammed his weapon and fired rounds into the home, Walker added.
Walker told NBC10 the 21-year-old shooting victim was taken to Penn Presbyterian Hospital, where he was in critical condition.
NBC10 also noted in its report that there were several children inside the home at the time.
Anyone with information is asked to call police.
