Following the deadly attacks in Paris, the company that owns the home arena of the Philadelphia Flyers and 76ers plans to increase security at the venue.

In a press release posted to Sixers.com Monday, Comcast Spectacor said that after consulting with the NBA and NHL they will beef up security measures at Wells Fargo Center for all events.

"We won't discuss the specifics on any of these upgrades to our security procedures," the statement reads. "We ask that our guests understand that it may take a little extra time to enter the facility, but that these measures are in place so that we can continue to provide a safe and secure facility for all of our guests."

On Saturday, the NFL announced it was also increasing security efforts and the presence of law enforcement at stadiums for this past Sunday's games, adding that there were no known threats.

In addition to hosting the home games for the Sixers and Flyers, the Wells Fargo Center frequently holds other sporting events and high-profile concerts.

It will also play host to many of the events for the upcoming Democratic National Convention this coming Summer.
