After Tuesday's massive summer storm left nearly half a million people in the region without power and prompted Delaware County to declare a disaster emergency, the weekend is tacking on more wet weather.
PHILADELPHIA
A Flood Watch is in effect in Philadelphia until 5:00 a.m. Sunday.
Saturday: Rain, with thunderstorms after 5 pm. Some of the storms could produce heavy rainfall. High near 73. Chance of precipitation is 100%.
The National Weather Service has issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook for locally heavy rains that could produce urban and drainage flooding.
Saturday night: Showers and possibly a thunderstorm. Some of the storms could produce heavy rainfall. Low around 65. Chance of precipitation is 100 percent. New rainfall amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible.
Sunday: Showers likely, mainly before 8am. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 80 and a 60 percent chance of precipitation.
Sunday night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 61.
JERSEY SHORE
A Hazardous Weather Outlook advisory has been issued by the National Weather Service, with the possibility of locally strong winds and heavy downpours resulting in poor drainage flooding.
Saturday: Rain, with thunderstorms also possible after 2pm. Some of the storms could produce heavy rainfall. High near 76. Chance of precipitation is 100 percent.
Saturday night: Showers and possibly a thunderstorm. Some of the storms could produce heavy rainfall. Low around 69. Chance of precipitation is 100 percent.
Sunday: Showers likely before 8am. Partly sunny and breezy, with a high near 77. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent.
