Traffic was backed up along Roosevelt Boulevard in Northeast Philadelphia due to a water main break Tuesday morning, NBC10 reports.
The water main break occurred in the northbound outer lanes of Roosevelt Boulevard at Sandyford Avenue.
According to 6ABC, the water department was able to shut off the valves supplying the ruptured 12-inch main shortly after 7:00 a.m.
All northbound traffic was shut down at the Boulevard near Cottman Avenue due to the break, and detours were set up.
Crews were at the scene.
