The West Deptford Township Police Department is investigating a viral video circulating on Facebook that appears to show a teen being badly beaten by an older man.
In the video, obtained by 6ABC, the older man, allegedly a practitioner of mixed martial arts, can be heard telling the teen not to move. He then allegedly beats him and drags his body from a couch to the floor.
West Deptford police said the video was taken at a home in the National Park section of the township.
Since it hit social media, it’s garnered more than 2 million views, more than 38,000 shares and more than 18,500 comments.
Police told 6ABC that they’ve since identified and made contact with the individuals in the video and that the juvenile is in fine condition.
On Facebook, police are urging viewers not to take matters into their own hands and to refrain from posting any threats on social media or otherwise.
