WATCH: T.J. McConnell wins another game for Sixers with late shot

One of the highlights of the Sixers' season so far was T.J. McConnell making a buzzer-beater in Carmelo Anthony's face to defeat the New York Knicks last month. Well, the Sixers were on the road Thursday night and the shot came 5.8 seconds before the buzzer, but the Orlando Magic were treated to some more late-game heroics from McConnell.

Off a jump-ball situation, McConnell worked into the lane on C.J. Watson, settling for a nice short pull-up jumper that he likes to shoot. Orlando, with no timeouts, threw the ball away to, you guessed it, McConnell and the Sixers escaped with a 112-111 win:


In a delightful little post-game interview with CSN's Molly Sullivan French after the game, McConnell made a joke about Dario Saric screaming an obscenity at him last month after Nerlens Noel similarly poured some water on his head:

McConnell, who broke a five-game Sixers losing streak also admitted what everybody watching at home knows. "It's hard to play without Joel Embiid."
