The minute-long commercial advertising the Honda CR-V 2017 tackles "the power of dreams." It features celebrities, like Fey, Steve Carell, Robert Redford, Viola Davis and Jimmy Kimmel voicing over animated versions of their own high school yearbook pictures.
"When you start out, you might not know where you're going or what you're doing," Fey, also an alum of "Saturday Nigh Live", said.
Actor Robert Redford follows up, "You just keep going. Keep your focus, and avoid the distractions."
It's not that long ago that Fey was in Philadelphia giving out some more elaborate words of wisdom. The actress and comedian was awarded the Lew Klein Excellence in Media Award from Temple University in October, where she gave a Q&A.
“Advice for the real world?” she told students. “Have a sense of humor and spend your money on a monthly bus pass.”
Tina Fey's father, Donald Fey, was a 1966 graduate of the university. Tina Fey helped launch the Donald H. Fey Memorial Scholarship for communications students last year after her father passed.
