Not all skaters are thrilled with what's happening at LOVE Park. Mayor Jim Kenney temporarily lifted a ban on skateboarding at the iconic location before major renovations started taking place Tuesday, giving riders one last chance to grind, kickflip and ollie (clearly, the author knows little about skateboarding).
Some skaters were peeved that the spot, famous for the activity, would become unskateable with lots of green space coming in; one skater compared it having "someone you know on death row."

Nevertheless, many took advantage of the park's final days as a skaters’ paradise. Naturally, Cory J. Popp -- known for documenting the city's blizzards, changing seasons, and developments, among other things -- was there to nab video of skaters making their final run. Watch it below.
