A New Jersey high school has set a high bar for promotional videos after releasing an extravagant lip-syncing ensemble that quickly picked up more than 20,000 views following its Monday release on YouTube.
The video, "Livingston High School Lip Dub," is an impressive accomplishment for the young cinematographer who captured the entire 10-plus minute sequence in a single shot, according to NJ.com.
With a goal to promote school unity, the video was spearheaded by TV production students Abby Hauptman and Jenna Weiss, who convinced LHS principal Mark Stern and TV teacher Jason Daily to get the whole school involved in the action.
Everything starts with freshman Zachary Minion. His parents drop him off for his first day of school and he's immediately approached by a tide of students encouraging him to join various clubs and activities.
The video, from beginning to end, took Hauptman and Weiss 21 weeks to coordinate everything from rehearsals and filming locations to editing the final cut.
