Police said a serial armed robber has been active in Northeast Philadelphia.
The man is wanted for seven incidents over nine days at three businesses in the Frankford and Wissinoming sections of the city.
During each incident, the man entered the store and displayed a handgun in his waistband. After receiving cash from the register and cigarettes, he fled the area.
One business was robbed five times by the suspect.
Police believe the suspect has committed the following armed robberies:
• August 14 at 1:13 a.m., 7-Eleven located at 5231 Harbison Avenue
• August 14 at 8:58 p.m., Exxon located at 5250 Torresdale Avenue
• August 17 at 12:30 a.m., 7-Eleven located at 5231 Harbison Avenue
• August 21 at 2:42 a.m., 7-Eleven located at 5231 Harbison Avenue
• August 22 at 11:52 p.m., Wawa located at 6001 Harbison Avenue
• August 22 at 12:30 a.m., 7-Eleven located at 5231 Harbison Avenue
• August 22 at 10:00 p.m., 7-Eleven located at 5231 Harbison Avenue
The suspect is described as a 6-foot black man in his early 20s with a thin build.
