Cincinnati Bengals defensive tackle Devon Still didn't play his college ball at Temple University. But for one play on Saturday, his 4-year-old daughter Leah was the Owls' best player.
Leah accompanied her father for the coin toss of the annual Cherry and White game, the intrasquad spring contest played at the team's practice field on Diamond and 10th Streets. Leah, whose battle with stage 4 pediatric cancer has taken an optimistic turn, stole the show by going 45 yards in to the end zone to score for the White team:
Leah was diagnosed with cancer in June 2014, prompting Devon to raise hundreds of thousands of dollars for cancer research. She's been receiving treatments at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, and was recently informed that her cancer was in remission.
Devon Still is good friends with two of Temple's coaches that used to work at his alma mater Penn State, according to Owl Sports. He has recently resigned with the Bengals on a one year deal.
