Sometimes, in all of these years spent following the local football franchise, it feels like the Eagles never catch a break. You definitely can’t say that this week.
Washington quarterback Kirk Cousins had moved the ball down the field against the Eagles defense with no timeouts at the end of the half. At the six-yard line with six seconds left, he might have been able to take a shot at the end zone. Worst-case scenario, Cousins could have simply spiked the ball.
