Sometimes there seems to be no rhyme or reason to what goes viral on social media.
Take for example the #DrummondPuddleWatch trending Wednesday on social media via Twitter's Periscope app.
If you haven't got swept up in the #DrummondPuddleWatch social media storm yet, it's basically a bunch of viral videos showing people in Britain carefully -- or cleverly -- crossing a child pool-sized puddle in Newcastle upon Tyne at Drummond Central in England.
And while there's no verified reason as to why #DrummondPuddleWatch started trending on Twitter and Periscope, The Telegraph's guesses "we are all bored back at work after Christmas."
One thing is for sure, marking firm Drummond Central, which started the #DrummondPuddleWatch trend, sure got lucky.
If you can't beat them, join them. #SinkorSwim.
