Lost in the Flyers’ terrific effort in Chicago on Wednesday night, a member of the team’s never-changing fourth line placed a very dicey hit on one of the league’s stars. Chris VandeVelde elbowed Jonathan Toews directly in the head on this one:
Philadelphia's Chris Vandevelde will have a hearing tomorrow for elbowing/illegal check to the head on Chicago's Jonathan Toews.

VandeVelde and Toews were college teammates at the University of North Dakota, where they were coached by Dave Hakstol. If the Flyers forward is suspended, there is the question of who will take his place in the lineup.
Of course, the Flyers do have a pretty solid replacement on the mend:
