A West Philly school bus driver allegedly got lost for hours on Wednesday during a routine drop-off.

A West Philadelphia school bus driver allegedly got lost for nearly two hours with children on board, sending parents and students into hysteria.

According to Fox 29, the driver, who has not been identified, strayed off the route minutes into what would normally have been no more than a 20-minute ride and was driving aimlessly through West Philadelphia.

Twenty-one students from the Mann Campus of Mastery Charter School in West Philadelphia were on the bus, Fox 29 said.

Fox 29 interviewed a parent whose 7-year-old was on board the bus and called her mom from a friend’s cellphone.

The parent, Vernique Sapp, said she was able to speak to the driver, who was taken to a hospital for evaluation.

Finally, near 69th Street, a passerby heard children screaming from the bus and called 911.

All of the children are safe, and no further information is available at this time.
