Joining a recent uptick in restaurants heading to the Queen Village area, a new eatery is coming to 7th and South streets. Banh Mi and Bottles will open at 712-714 South in early May, according to Foobooz.
The new addition will serve Vietnamese street food, plus an eye-popping, 200-plus bottles of craft beer. It will open for lunch and dinner serving small plates like classic banh mi sandwiches, pho and salad rolls plus a full bar with organic cocktails.
Banh Mi and Bottles (is it too early to just call it B&B?) will be opened by Tuan Phung, whose father is head chef of Pho Ha in South Philly.
The construction and interior design teams are working hard to execute Banh Mi and Bottles' vision

Design renderings for the large restaurant space show a bright, funky interior, perfect for setting up shop along the always-lively South Street. Banh Mi and Bottles will join Hungry Pigeon, Southwark, Whetstone and Kanella South in the neighborhood's recent culinary boom.
