Despite two hits and a run scored from first baseman Tommy Joseph, the Phillies dropped a spring training contest to the Yankees Friday afternoon. Unfortunately for Joseph, the loss wasn't the worst part of his day.
In the bottom of the fifth inning, starter Jeremy Hellickson threw to first to check New York center fielder Aaron Hicks' lead. When Hicks slid back, he was wayyyyyyy short of the bag.
Joseph looked down and seemingly didn't notice the sizeable amount of dirt between Hick's fingertips and the base, thanks to Hicks lying motionless for a moment as if he was safe.
