Prolific Philadelphia videographer Cory J. Popp continues to share the sights and spectacles of our city in gorgeous detail, taking us on tours that reveal the quiet beauty of our most iconic landmarks.
The latest installment of the 'Uncover Philly' series comes in the form of two shorts that show us scenes from midsummer in Philadelphia in 2015.
The first of the two is a calming exploration of the Delaware River waterfront's Race Street Pier, which promises some of Philadelphia's best views of the Benjamin Franklin Bridge. If you haven't made a recent trip to the pier's terraced promenade, or settled in for a picnic under the bridge, Popp's presentation is a great reminder to head over to Race Street and North Columbus Boulevard before the summer comes to an end.
The second video, coming on the heels of Popp's dazzling 'Philadelphia from Above,' provides another glimpse of the city from on high. In this case, Popp took a climb to the top of Two Commerce Square, again revealing the surrounding sea of lights and even capturing a time-lapse of the fireworks at this year's Fourth of July Jam.
"I've spent a huge majority of my Summer filming from Philly rooftops," Popp says on his site, "and in my opinion there is no better way to experience the city."
As always, if the photography overwhelms you, head over to Popp's Etsy page to browse through framed prints taken from the series and available for purchase.
