Recent UArts grad now a cover artist for the New Yorker

Her name is Loveis Wise and the piece is called "Nurture"

The New Yorker's annual Fiction Issue is really hitting home for us this year.

One of Philly's recent University of the Art's graduates, Loveis Wise, has been chosen as the cover artist.

The selected piece is called "Nurture," which draws out the magazine's theme this week, but is also a constant theme in Wise's own works.

A native of Washington, D.C., and Philly transplant, Wise has quite the portfolio already. You can check out all of her work here. She's done work for a lot of media companies, like Buzzfeed, BUST Magazine and The Poetry Foundation.

Wise only just graduated a few weeks ago from UArts (What have you done since you graduated?) where she studied illustration, painting and wood cuts.

She did an entire Q&A with the New Yorker, which you can read here.
