Two teens hospitalized after Northwest Philly shooting

Two teens were hospitalized Thursday night after a shooting in Northwest Philadelphia, CBSPhilly reports.

The double shooting occurred around 11 p.m. on the 7900 block of Temple Road in the Stenton section of Philadelphia.

Police said one victim was shot in the chest and stomach, while the other was shot in the back. The teens, both 19, were taken to the hospital in critical condition.

The teen that was shot twice ran to his mother’s house and collapsed, police said.

Police said the other teen jumped into a car, but shortly afterward, witnesses said he got out of the vehicle and collapsed. He was found next to the car, which had at least 10 bullet holes in it, officials said. Most of the holes were on the driver’s side. Police believe he was shot while behind the wheel.

According to police, the car was stolen in August near where the shooting occurred. The victim found by the car could face charges for operating a stolen vehicle.

The suspects are described as two men wearing dark clothing. They were last seen running south on Temple Road.

The incident remains under investigation.
