The Montgomery County District Attorney's Office identified the man who law enforcement officials say killed two people in an apparent murder-suicide Sunday night in Hatfield.

In a release issued Monday afternoon, Montgomery County District Attorney Risa Vetri Ferman said the suspected shooter, Paul Marshall, 48, was found deceased along with two victims – a 48-year-old woman and her 28-year-old son – after police responded to a report of a shooting at 138 Diamond Street in Hatfield, at about 11:34 p.m.

The release notes that a 27-year-old woman and her 4-year-old daughter were also at the home during the shooting, but were unhurt.

Both deceased victims sustained gunshot wounds, and an autopsy conducted Monday morning found Marshall had died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound, the release stated.

A semi-automatic rifle was found in Marshall's possession, the release noted.

The investigation is being handled by the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office and is currently ongoing, the release noted.
