Turkey and Pear Sandwich

Ingredients:
• 2 slices of whole-wheat bread
• ¼ avocado, sliced
• 2 ounces of reduced-sodium deli-style turkey meat
• 2 slices of a medium tomato
• 2 leaves, small, tender Bibb or iceburg lettuce leaves, rinsed, drained, and dried
• 1 pear, thinly sliced with seeds removed

Directions:

  1. Toast the bread.
  2. Build sandwich by smashing and spreading avocado on one slice of toast. Layer with turkey, tomato, lettuce, and slices of pear (to fit). Top with second slice of toast.
  3. Serve with remaining pear.
