The Jersey Shore and Philadelphia area are already experiencing downpours and could feel the impact of a Tropical Storm making its way up the East Coast.
The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook for most of the area Tuesday night into Wednesday morning, with moderate to heavy rainfall expected that could produce flooding in areas with poor drainage.
The downpours proceed Tropical Storm Joaquin, which is tracking up the shore of the Atlantic Ocean, possibly making landfall in the area later this week.
That could mean a new round of heavy rain, winds, and flooding going into the weekend.
On Tuesday evening, rain began falling in Philadelphia after some showers earlier in the day.
The NWS' Mount Holly office says stormy weather should be expected in the area over the next 6 days, with coastal flooding in New Jersey and Delaware as well as flooding on certain streets very possible.
According to NJ.com, several shore towns in New Jersey are already bracing for a possible "one-two punch" and are taking measure to prepare for the storm.
The Mount Holly office is asking anyone who experiences or spots flooding in the area to contact them via their Facebook page, where you can find updates on the storm and forecasts.
