In honor of Valentine's Day, Dubai-based Emirates, heralded as one of the best airlines in the world, is offering two-for-one tickets that can fly you and a companion to Spain, Dubai, or Greece from Newark and New York.
Travelers must be ready to book quickly, though, as the deal expires this weekend on Feb. 17. If you're seeking a faraway adventure, choose economy for travel between Feb. 21 and May 10, or between Aug. 20 and Dec. 5, and you can score two international round-trip flights for as low as $799. If you're splitting it with your plus one, that's about $400 each to fly on a luxury airline (not a budget one that may go bankrupt before you get on board.)
The deal also applies to a few trips out of Boston, including flights to Bangkok, Cape Town, and the Maldives. There are several Midwest and West Coast deals being offered, as well.
If a journey closer to home is a bit more doable this Valentine's Day, Amtrak is running its BOGO special for travelers out of Philadelphia. Book a ticket before Feb. 18 for travel between March 25 and July 29 and buy one train fare to get a second free when you travel coach or via their Acela train.
