Will Smith is an Eagles fan, but he’s taking on the NFL in his next movie. In “Concussion,” the Philly native will play a doctor that makes a breakthrough in the study of brain injuries in football players.
According to IMDB, Smith will star “in the incredible true David vs. Goliath story of Dr. Bennet Omalu, the brilliant forensic neuropathologist who made the first discovery of CTE, a football-related brain trauma, in a pro player.” Production took place in Pittsburgh late last year.
The film’s cast also includes Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Alec Baldwin, Eddie Marsan, and Albert Brooks. Check out the trailer here:
