The women in Edgar Allan Poe's life, beginning with his mother, greatly influenced the writer. Poe very consistently wrote about women in his poetry and short stories.
To celebrate Women's History Month, the Edgar Allan Poe National Historic Site is offering a free tour with details of Poe's most intimate relationships and how they shaped his writing.
The event will take place on March 26, beginning at 1 p.m.
