Former sportscaster Don Tollefson is defending himself in court against fraud charges.

Former Philadelphia sportscaster Don Tollefson will learn his fate Wednesday during his sentencing in Bucks County Court for charges of fraud and theft, The Morning Call reports.

A Bucks County jury convicted Tollefson in January on all five charges that ranged from money laundering to theft. Tollefson, 62, was accused of selling sports packages through his charity that in effect stole about $340,000 from hundreds of buyers.

The former sportscaster acted as his own attorney during the 12-day trial. On the stand, he told stories of his youth, his time at Stanford and his favorite athletes. He was objected to several times for straying from trial-relevant testimony.

A number of witnesses were called to testify to losing money in Tollefson's alleged fraudulent schemes. Many of the accounts mirrored each other, with alleged victims saying they had wanted to help a good cause, but never received what they purchased.
