Tickets for a special lecture by the Dalai Lama on Oct. 26, prior to his acceptance of the 2015 Liberty Medal later that day, will go on sale Wednesday.
The talk, titled "The Wisdom of Cherishing Others. Eight Verses for Training the Mind,” will combine the essential Buddhist teachings for cultivating kindness, compassion and wisdom. It will be held at La Salle University at 1 p.m.
Each verse is a jewel from which we can learn from and to incorporate into our daily lives to overcome our own difficulties as well as difficulties of all beings.
The Dalai Lama's visit to Philadelphia comes exactly one month after the planned visit by Pope Francis in late September.
