John Williams produced the soundtrack for Steven Spielberg's "E.T.: the Extra-Terrestrial" at the height of his career. Some could argue that it is his best work, since he won his fourth Academy Award for the score and Spielberg altered the final edit of the film to fit the music (when typically it's the other way around).
For three nights in October, the Philadelphia Orchestra will perform the heartwarming music at the Kimmel Center while the film is projected in HD.
The movie about a lovable alien stranded on Earth was an instant blockbuster and is still widely regarded as one of the greatest films.
Tickets begin at $39 per person.
