Police have opened an investigation after a 16-year old boy was fatally shot in the head in the Elmwood neighborhood of Southwest Philadelphia on Sunday night.
According to 6 ABC, the teenager was found at the 6300 block of Reedland Street, where they initially believed he was suffering from a nose bleed.
After the teen was taken to Presbyterian Hospital, it was determined that he had been shot in the head. Less than an hour after he arrived at the hospital, he was pronounced dead.
The victim's identity was not released and there is no information yet on what led to the shooting.
