Philadelphia police are seeking four suspects in connection to a shooting that killed a 16-year-old boy riding his bike in the Strawberry Mansion section of the city Sunday night.
Police say the victim and another teen were riding their bikes along the 2200 block of West Sedgley Avenue around 4:40 p.m. when they got into an altercation with four males driving a silver Buick, 6 ABC reports.
After the teens moved on from the vehicle, police say they noticed the same car had pulled over and two of its passengers had stepped outside near the trunk.
The teens attempted to flee the scene in the opposite direction, but the two males opened fire a total of 17 times, fatally striking the 16-year-old victim once in the back.
The victim, identified by police as Saleem West, was rushed to Temple University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead just before 5:00 p.m.
The second teen was not injured by the gunfire.
Police did not recover any weapons at the scene and no arrests have been made.
