TEDxPenn2016 reveals lineup of speakers for Sunday's talks

The TEDxPenn conference on Sunday will feature 15 speakers and performers.

TEDxPenn2016 has announced its lineup of speakers and performers for Sunday's conference on the University of Penn campus.

Jane Golden and George Martorano will be among the 12 featured speakers at the event from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, April 10 at Annenberg Center for Performing Arts.

Golden, founder of the Mural Arts Program in Philadelphia, will talk about how art creates community engagement.

George Martorano, writer and advocate or prisoner reforms, will talk about how he turned his life in prison into activism for prison reform.

Also scheduled to speak and perform:

• Jeff Beal, composer of the music for Netflix series, "House of Cards"

• Jonathan Chen, undergraduate student at the University of Pennsylvania

• Mark Forsyth, author of "The Etymologicon"

• Michael Horowitz, associate professor at the University of Pennsylvania

• David Issadore, assistant professor at the University of Pennsylvania

• Lolita Jackson, chief of staff to the senior adviser to the mayor for Recovery, Resiliency & Infrastructure at NYC Office of Mayor

• Michelle Johnson, assistant professor at the University of Pennsylvania

• Taehoon Kim, founder and president of DoDaum

• Andrew Newberg, director of research at the Myrna Brind Center of Integrative Medicine

• Joel Myers, president and chairman of AccuWeather

• Mackenzie Johnson, musician from Philadelphia

• Caeli Smith, violinist and violist from Julliard School of Music

• Majid Mubeen, undergraduate student at the University of Pennsylvania
