A woman who taught at an elite all-boys boarding school in Chester County is accused of having a longtime sexual relationship with her then-16-year-old student, NBC 10 Philadelphia reports.
Sarah O'Neill, 35, of Coatesville, was employed as a teacher at Church Farm School from September 2007 to June 2014, when NBC 10 says she was asked to resign.
NBC 10 reports the relationship between O’Neill and the teen, now 17, allegedly lasted more than 10 months and involved several instances of oral sex at area hotels, in her car and at a park, as well as romantic letters between the two, including the following:
"The thought that I could love so deeply and so wrongly pervaded before you and I even officially began," Sarah O'Neill allegedly wrote the teen. "It was quite a long winter break before my lips even attempted yours and I wondered if you were as affected as I."
The report also said a police investigation uncovered hundreds of phone calls and emails between O'Neill and the teen, according to an affidavit.
O'Neill was arrested and charged with four counts of corruption of a minor.
In one email, police say the teen asked O'Neill what she was wearing. O'Neill allegedly replied by saying, "I should be wearing sexy clothing for you when you ask that. Like some tight underwear or nothing. But I am too formal for such outlandishness."
NBC 10 reports a school custodian also allegedly walked in on the two in a locked classroom with the lights turned off on three occasions.
On another occasion, the custodian said O'Neill's stocking appeared to be disheveled and torn.
O’Neill is currently out on bond and scheduled for a preliminary hearing on Feb. 2.
