A new restaurant has opened in Rittenhouse from Andrew Kochan and Tim Lanza of Marigold Kitchen

TALK (an acronym for their names) is completely different than the duo's avant-garde University City spot, however.

There's no elaborate tasting menu. Instead, there is a set selection of small and large plates with locally sourced ingredients.

According to Kochan and Lanza, some of the menu's current highlights are the daily oyster selection; fluke crudo with watermelon, cucumber, borage and chili; and black pepper pasta with parmesan broth, morel mushrooms, fig and prosciutto.

TALK will also include a bar, unlike Marigold Kitchen.

The 15-seat bar was designed with the look of 20th-century hotel bars in mind, and there are art deco influences throughout the space.

The dining room can seat 26, while the mezzanine can fit another 14. TALK expects to have some outdoor seating soon, as well.

The restaurant, located at 2121 Walnut St., is only open for dinner 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Tuesdays through Sundays, but the bar will stay open to 1 a.m.

Brunch and happy hour will be announced in the coming weeks.
