Beginning on May 7, LOVE Your Park Week will take place for the fourth year. Across the city, parks will offer special events, including service days, family-friendly activities, workshops and other planned festivities. Many are free to attend.
Here's a look at some of the most exciting events planned:
Explore a stretch of the Schuylkill River by kayak or rowboat. No registration or boating experience necessary and all ages are welcome to participate.

Bartram’s Garden

Seniors 50-and-older are invited for an easy walk through the nature sanctuary to search for wildflowers.

Do you know your facts on Philly's park system? This Quizzo event will test your knowledge, lead by Brad Maule of Hidden City Philadelphia.

Parents with children two-and-younger are invited to get outside for a hike. Put the baby in a carrier and take to the trails together. No strollers will be allowed.
Wednesday, May 11
9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
Pennypack Creek Park
7800 State Road
Explore the trails of Belmont Plateau by mountain bike. Ride or race a 3- to 5-mile course along the trails. Registration begins at 6 p.m. and the event is free and open to the public. All ages and abilities are welcome. The ride will begin at 6:30 p.m.

The Friends of Clark Park's annual Party in the Park is back. There will be family fun, live music, food trucks, a beer garden and more.
