This weekend will bring sun-drenched weather to the Philadelphia region.
High temperatures in the city will hit the low 90s with few clouds to temper the mid-August sun.
This weekend's weather is likely to look similar both Saturday and Sunday. “A quiet and increasingly warm and humid period is expected,” said a forecast from the National Weather Service.
There is a small chance of rain Saturday night when a weak cold front rolls through. If a storm does produce some rain, it will likely clear up by daytime Sunday when temperatures are expected to reach around 90 degrees with humidity. Temperatures on the shore should be a few degrees cooler than in the city.
The heat will not be broken by much wind, according to the National Weather Service. Light breezes will accompany the mostly sunny days, but winds aren’t expected to top five or eight miles an hour.
