WWE’s two big brands went head-to-head on Sunday night, as one of the biggest pay-per-views of the year took place in Los Angeles. The Staples Center was the epicenter for WWE’s annual RAW vs. SmackDown event headlined by a Champion vs. Champion match and Ronda Rousey going one-on-one with Charlotte Flair.

On Sunday night, the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum was the epicenter for WWE’s female roster as the first-ever women’s pay-per-view for the company took place in Uniondale, New York. Ronda Rousey was the headliner, defending her RAW Women’s Championship against Nikki Bella, but the SmackDown Women’s Championship match would steal the show.

Sunday night at the AT&T Center in San Antonio saw WWE’s first September edition of their annual Hell in a Cell pay-per-view. Roman Reigns made his first Universal Championship defense inside the cell against his rival Braun Strowman, who’s a newly-turned heel with Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre as his henchmen.

Chicago’s Allstate Arena hosted what many, including myself, consider the fifth-biggest pay-per-view on the WWE calendar on Sunday night, Money in the Bank. Complete with two women’s championship matches, a women’s Money in the Bank ladder match, a men’s Money in the Bank ladder match, WWE Championship match, and Intercontinental Championship match, the card was stacked from top to bottom.
