A cause of walking pneumonia is surging in young children, CDC says

Bacterial infections from Mycoplasma pneumoniae, which can cause walking pneumonia, have increased among all age groups in the U.S. since late spring, according to the CDC. The spike was highest in children ages 2-4. Walking pneumonia is a milder form of pneumonia, a lung infection. It does not usually require hospitalization

Retired U.S. soccer star Carli Lloyd has announced the birth of her first child following a long journey with infertility struggles and multiple rounds of IVF. Lloyd — who grew up in Delran Township and attended Rutgers University — wrote on Instagram on Monday that she and her husband, professional golfer Brian Hollins, welcomed daughter Harper Anne Hollins on Oct. 18.

'Hamilton' is returning to Philly – and lucky fans can score $10 tickets

'Hamilton' is playing at Philadelphia's Academy of Music from Tuesday, Oct. 29, through Saturday, Nov. 23. A lottery system offers 40 discounted tickets, priced at $10, to every performance. Weekly lotteries open every Friday at 10 a.m. and close the following Thursday. Winners are notified on Thursdays between noon and 4 p.m.

Here are Saturday's road closures and parking restrictions for Philly Bike Ride

Philly Bike Ride is returning to the city for its third year on Saturday, Oct. 19, starting at 7:30 a.m. from the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Thousands of riders will travel the 20-mile, car-free route through the city, ending back at the art museum. Some roads along the route will be closed to traffic as early as 3:30 a.m., and parking restrictions begin at 12:01 a.m. All roads will reopen and parking restrictions lifted by early afternoon.
