Philadelphia police are investigating after a South Philadelphia woman was assaulted Sunday morning by two armed robbers who invaded her home posed as a pair of utility workers.

According to authorities, the two male suspects in the assault forced their way into the Point Breeze home on the 1100 block of S. Mole Street near Ellsworth, NBC 10 reports.

After gaining entry, the suspects attacked the 39-year-old victim, leaving her with lacerations to the forehead.

Police said the suspects left without taking anything from the home.

The victim was transported to Methodist Hospital to be treated for her injuries.

Investigators described the first suspect as a tall, thin man in his twenties or thirties, with dark skin and a goatee. He wore all black during the home invasion. The second suspect, also believed to be in his twenties or thirties, is described as a muscular man who was last wearing a puffy, dark blue vest.
