A South Jersey school is increasing security Tuesday after receiving a threatening phone call Monday night, CBSPhilly reports.

Officials at Harrington Middle School in Mount Laurel, Burlington County, called in police to search the school and surrounding area after receiving the threat around 9 p.m. Police reportedly found nothing concerning.

Police will remain on scene all day Tuesday as a precaution, and students and staff will be searched before entering the school.

The call was one of several made to schools in both New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Police say a threatening phone call was made to the main office of Simmons Elementary School in Horsham, Montgomery County, Monday morning, which led to temporary lockdowns at Hatboro-Horsham High School and the elementary school.

Classes resumed after police found nothing during a sweep.

Anyone with any information about the threatening phone calls is encouraged to contact police.
