A 41-year-old middle-school aide who had worked in the Gloucester Township School District is charged with having sex multiple times with a male student, beginning in November of 2013 when the boy was just 14.
Jennifer Pasquarello, 41, of Somerdale, is charged with one count of first-degree aggravated sexual assault, two counts of third-degree aggravated criminal sexual contact and one count of third-degree endangering the welfare of a child, according to information released by the Camden County Prosecutor's Office.
Pasquarello had worked at the Glen Landing Middle School in Gloucester Township at the time of the alleged assaults, which investigators said continued until the spring of 2015. Authorities said the alleged incidents happened off of school property.
On Monday morning, detectives met with Pasquarello at the Ann Mullen Middle School, another township school where she most recently worked, and took her to the Gloucester Township police headquarters, where she was charged.
She is being held at the Camden County Jail with bail set at $300,000 cash or bond.
A relative declined comment when reached at home.
The principal of Glen Landing Middle School did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Pasquarello was fired by the Gloucester Township School District on Monday, according to the Camden County Prosecutor's Office.
The school district has been fully cooperative in this ongoing investigation, according to Andy McNeil, a spokesman for the Camden County Prosecutor's Office
