An instructor at a day camp for children in South Jersey was arrested Friday on child pornography charges.
According to Burlington County prosecutors, 23-year-old Daniel M. Chance was apprehended in Moorestown after authorities executed a search warrant at his Foxwood Drive home. Authorities removed several electronic devices from the residence.
He was been charged with endangering the welfare of children for distribution of child pornography and endangering the welfare of children for possession of child pornography.
Authorities said Chance allegedly used a file sharing program to distribute child pornography. The images included adult men molesting toddlers, prosecutors said.
Chance was a high ropes instructor at Liberty Lake Day Camp in Bordentown at the time of his arrest, prosecutors said.
According to Andy Pritikin, the camp's owner, Chance was a seasonal employee and is no longer working there following the "disturbing" accusations.
Pritikin said in an email that families who sent their children to the camp were immediately notified following his arrest, and noted that Chance had not been accused of inappropriate relationships with any children, only for internet pornography.
According to the camp's website, it serves children between the ages of four and 15.
Chance was released from Burlington County Jail after posting $100,000 bail and will be referred to a grand jury for a possible indictment.
