A Burlington Township man and Garden State Transport bus driver allegedly watched porn in front of elementary school students.
Franck Lafortune, 64, was accused by two Indian Mills Elementary School students of watching porn on his cell phone on the morning of Feb. 4, according to New Jersey State Police.
The two students told their parents about the incident, and their parents then notified state troopers.
According to the students, the bus was parked when they saw what was allegedly on Lafortune’s phone.
After an investigation by state troopers and detectives, New Jersey State Police charged Lafortune on Wednesday with obscenity to minors under the age of 18.
Lafortune has been released, pending a court appearance.
Garden State Transport has not fired Lafortune, according to the Courier-Post, and an unnamed employee said “incorrect charges” had been made.
Shamong Township School District, on the other hand, sent a letter to parents on Tuesday saying the district decided to “immediately permanently” remove Lafortune from the district’s bus routes, according to the Courier-Post.
